Shipping & Return Policy
Monk & Mei believes in giving high quality services to you and hence follows the following process for a pleasant customer experience.
- All our products at Monk & Mei have multiple people across various areas all working together to make your hand crafted garment; thus always ensuring your story is being written for you to wear.
- For all orders within India, we offer free shipping and for International deliveries, we offer free shipping on orders above Rs.15,000/- and on orders below Rs.15,000/- we charge a standard amount for shipping. No COD available on international orders.
- All international VISA and MASTER credit cards can be used to make the payment for your international shipping orders. In case your transaction fails, please call us or write to us and we will help you with alternate payment mechanism.
- For deliveries within India all taxes and duties are included in the price of the product listed on the Website.
- For deliveries outside India, customs duties and local taxes have to be paid by customers to our shipping partner at the time of shipment delivery. The amount of duties and taxes depend on the policies of your destination country.
- Delivery Time for your order starts from the date of Order Confirmation. In current scenario, Signature and Casual are available within a week (Size S and XS in 2 weeks), Fusion collection takes 2-3 weeks to dispatch and Designer collection is available at 45 days pre order.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, it’s possible that a designer may not be able to produce your order piece. In such cases, you will be offered an alternate option / store credit.
We use the most reliable courier services such as Delhivery, Fedex, DHL and other leading courier partners.
We would send you a tracking number and link to our courier company with your shipping confirmation email so you can track your order.
At times orders can get delayed for reasons outside of our control. If your order is delayed beyond 2 weeks of the estimated Delivery Time for some unforeseen reasons, we will get in touch with you to check if you would still like to continue with your order.
We strive to ensure that every purchase at our website is seamless. We take great care in delivering our products and adhere to the highest quality standards. If you are not happy with your purchase, please see the options for returning or exchanging any of the items.
Damaged/Defective/Wrong Supply of products
The customer is advised to check the ordered products and quantity in the invoice, before accepting the package from the logistics service provider/courier.
In case of any contrariety found or damage to the packet is noticed, please leave a suitable remark on receipt to the logistics service provider/courier for accepting the delivery of the products.
In case the product is with a manufacturing defect or a wrong product has been received, kindly contact/email at email@example.com within 48 hours of receiving the products. Your email should contain comprehensive details along with images of the defects/complaints of the product delivered to you. - Your purchase is eligible for return or exchange only if it meets the following conditions:
- An incorrect product has been delivered to you i.e. the product does not match the item in the order confirmation email.
- If the product you receive has a genuine quality/manufacturing defect.
If your purchase meets our return criteria stated above, please contact our care team within two days of delivery with the following information:
- Order number
- Delivery address

Our Quality Check team will verify the manufacturing defects. After that, our customer service team will email or contact you for the necessary action.
- The product must be received within ten days from the date of advice by the Customer Service Department.
- Please ensure that the product you return is unused, unworn, and the original tags and khadi bag (if sent in your order) are intact.
- We do not have pickup facility for returns. Please arrange to send the product back along with invoice copy.
- Do take a confirmation receipt from the courier person on quantity of products being returned. We will not be responsible for any lost or missing shipment.
Orders that are Customised to order are not eligible for returns or exchange. Please note that international orders are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
On meeting quality checks, returned products can be exchanged for replacement in other sizes or you will be issued a credit note which is valid for 180 days.
Incorrect / Incomplete Shipping address
We are unable to offer refunds if we’ve been given an incorrect or incomplete shipping address, or if there are three failed delivery attempts by our shipping /agency and/or the package is refused by the recipient.
We have made every effort to display the colors of our products that appear on Monk & Mei as accurately as possible. However, as computer monitors, tablets, and mobile devices vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of a color will be completely accurate.
There may be slight variation in color due to photography effect for pure mulmul/brocade/rayon fabrics.
Wash Care Instruction
Many of the Monk & Mei dresses are either made in pure mulmul or are lined by pure mulmul. Some of them are also organically dyed on handloom fabric or block prints. To avoid bleeding or fading of color, following method of washing is recommended-
- Hand wash each of the garment separately in cold water.
- Avoid mixing the garments.
- Dry in shade.
- Do not soak the garment before washing.
- First few washes as dry clean will help extend life and beauty of dress.
In current Covid-19 scenario, we do not resell any returned product. Hence be careful while choosing the size. Size Chart for garment is specified on every product page. For any size related enquiry, please do not hesitate to call us on Customer Care Helpline number.
All orders have three step checking process-
Step 01- Match with order details and place in package
Step 02- Logistic team check on garment style and quantity placed as per order
Step 03- Weight and dimension check ensuring right size garment and quantity is placed in order package
In current situation, special sanitation measures as per government norms are being taken to ensure your health and safety. In case of any issues related to delivery, please share images of concerns. On verification, Support team will help you in the minimal possible time period.
No exchange on Custom dresses, masks and special offer dresses. Special cases of size will be dealt case to case basis through exchanges in appropriate sizes.
